Our Story

Quack’s opened in 1983 as Captain Quackenbush’s Intergalactic Dessert Company & Espresso Cafe — Austin’s first espresso cafe. The name was a mouthful. The coffee was a revelation.

Four decades later, we’re still a fleet of full-service espresso cafes and from-scratch bakeries. Everything is baked in-house at each location, every day — the late-night study aid and the early-morning caffeine fix alike.
